Dear Richardson’s RV Center,
Thank you so much for funding the listening center project for my classroom. What a difference you are making in the young lives in my class. Many of my students get no help at home with reading and it helps them so much to hear someone reading the store as they follow along. It helps average readers with their fluency and low readers with word recognition.
It is so great to have people who understand the importance of reaching these young readers. Especially people that are willing to not only talk about helping, but those that are willing to take action.
The children were so excited about the new books and tapes. It meant so much to them that people who didn’t even know them cared enough to share. What a great example you are to these students. Our social studies book teaches us about community and this brought it to life for them.
I hope you enjoy the letters and drawings from the children. Some of the drawings show them at the listening center and some are pictures of their favorite story. Although words don‘t seem to be enough, again, thank you.
